2007 Board of Directors Award Recipients

Tom Schroeder, Operation de Novo, Inc.
The MAPSA decided on two recipients for this years awards. The 2007 Board of Directors Award was given to Tom Schroeder of Operation de Novo for his work in Diversion.

Mary Ann Wonn, Brown County
The 2007 Board of Directors Award was given to Mary Ann Wonn for her work in Pretrial Services in Brown County.

2006 Board of Directors Award

Tim Gothmann, Operation de Novo, Inc.
The 2006 Board of Directors Award was given to Tim Gothmann. Tim has exhibited outstanding leadership as program director of both the juvenile and adult diversion teams at Operation de Novo. The award was presented by Ralph Davies, a co-worker and 2003 recipient of the Board of Directors Award.

2005 Board of Directors Award

Jodi Schmidt, Kandiyohi County Attorney's Office
On April 6, 2005, Jodi Schmidt, Kadiyohi County Attorney's Office was give the Board of Director's Award for her continuous hard work and dedication in the field of diversion programming.

Vicki Netjes and Brittany Taylor, Sherburne County Court Services
These two probation officers were awarded the Board of Director's award for 2005 as well. They were given this award for their professionalism and starting up a pretrial service supervision program in their county.

2004 Board of Directors Award

Mower County Correctional Services Driver's License Return Program
On April 8, 2004, the MAPSA Board of Directors Award was given to Mower County Correctional Services Driver's License Return Program. This program works hard to assist offenders in obtaining their driver's license and stop the revolving door of driving violations that end up costing taxpayers tons of money. This program helps offenders with the maze of the State in doing what they need to so they are valid drivers. Mower County's Driver's License Return Program also assists Spanish speaking individuals with the necessary tools to pass drivers tests and become valid drivers in our state. Congratulations Mower County!

2003 Board of Directors Award

Ralph Davies, Operation de Novo
On April 3, 2003 the MAPSA Board of Directors Award was given to Ralph Davies, longtime employee of Operation de Novo. Tim Gothman, MAPSA Newletter Editor presented this award. Mr. Gothman stated, "Ralph is so deserving of this award, he has come to work for over 30 years with a smile and dedication to helping out his clients. Ralph has worked very hard at his profession and could have left many times for more money or better positions, but Ralph loves what he does and he does it well."

2002 Board of Directors Award

Les Schultz, Brown County Probation Director
On April 4, 2002, the MAPSA Board presented its second Board of Director's Award to Les Schultz. Les was President of MAPSA in 1999 and 2000. During his first few months in this position, he set up goals that included rewriting the bylaws, finding representatives for three regions, creating a website, added a legislative committee, hosted a national conference and increasing membership. These goals were all acomplished and Les was instrumental in working with the Board in completing these tasks.

2001 NAPSA Olgiati Award

James T. Brown, Operation De Novo, Inc.
The National Association of Pretrial Services Agencies (NAPSA) Olgiati Award was awarded to Jim Brown, Director of Project deNovo in Minnesota. This is NAPSA’s highest award, given to those who make substantial contributions to the pretrial field over their career. The award was presented at the 29th Annual Conference and Training Institute in Lexington, Kentucky, in October of 2001.
