Check out the new Hennepin County Froms. The new pretrial scale was implemented in December of 2007. The new pretrial tools were put in place for several reasons.
The old scale developed in 1992 was not validated. After validation in 2006 it was found that 4 of 9 items were not statistically related to pretrial failure, 3 of those 4 items were found to be racially biased, and in nearly 50% of the cases, PO's were asking the bench for overrides. We expect validation of this scale in late 2008 or early 2009.
